In 2027 the Gimnasio Moderno will have a broad, articulated and diversified educational system that offers multilingual education for the integral human development of its students. Multilingualism in the Gimnasio will be recognized nationally and internationally for its quality and will constitute the fundamental axis of the cultural, scientific, technological, economic and social development of the institution.
Nowadays, humanity has people who are no longer content with speaking a single language, since the phenomenon of globalization has forced them to learn other languages to communicate, whether in the professional and business sphere, or in the educational world. and personal relationships. For this reason, our vision aims to face such global needs, expanding the horizons of the students towards other realities and interests. It also seeks to understand local contexts from a more reasonable and open perspective to other contexts. By 2027, the goal is to fully integrate multilingualism in all aspects of the institution. To achieve this end, the school currently plans:
The creation of a research, learning and professional development center
Creation of multilingual digital laboratories linked to research hotbeds and spaces for face-to-face and virtual conferences. This research center will provide its services for the Department of Education and for student projects. Advanced Placement programs will be offered and there will be a personalized curriculum in different languages. Global access virtual magazines will be created, where students and teachers can exchange student and teacher experiences with other parts of the world. The classrooms will be based on “Flipped Classrooms”, face-to-face and through networks. This way, it would be possible to belong to an international learning model and form a community of schools around the world that share the approach of active pedagogies.
Internationalization of the Department of Education
The aim is for the Department of Education to also be multilingual and its creation provides a space for international debates, in addition to offering language classes and preparation for standardized exams. This is about taking advantage of the department for the creation of international pedagogical communities and promoting multilingual teacher professionalization with a focus on educational innovation, advisory and academic communication. Spanish teaching will have an impact on the world community as a foreign language. The latter will help the school to teach its foreign students.
Creation of an International Relations Office and a Publication Center
Multilingual programs that create the necessary conditions for teacher exchanges with other institutions, immersion and exchange programs for teachers and students, in agreement with different schools, universities and companies inside and outside the country will be created. In order to motivate students, the school will seek to have accredited diplomas of global validity, which will allow it to offer venues such as the Gimnasio Moderno anywhere in the world, establish networks or alliances with faculties and companies that seek the profile of the Gimnasio Moderno student in a global scale.
The school currently has a publications stamp. The aim is to give this project a global scope. In 2027, the school, taking advantage of the Department of Education, the Cultural Agenda and the Scientific Agenda, will design and publish school texts that promote the dissemination of culture and knowledge in different languages. The school would have an offer of virtual books for its students and for the students of other schools, institutes and universities. Multilingualism will give the student and teacher tools to learn, teach, design and publish “online”, use class time to facilitate participation in active learning through questions, discussions and applied activities, which encourage exploration , the articulation and application of ideas in person or by virtual means.
